We're coming to you this grey and wintery Thursday with a breaking news announcement! 💥
We know how important it is to have money in your pocket at the moment, we're therefore pleased to announce the festival organisers have agreed that we can reduce the Reading and Leeds Festival deposits for 2024 to bring them in-line with our other events! ☄️
This means Reading and Leeds Festival deposits will be reducing by a whopping 35% to £95 if you're a new volunteer or to £45 if you're a returning volunteer! 🙌
So, if you were planning on applying to join us at Reading and Leeds Festival tomorrow you'll have an extra £50 in your pocket this weekend! 😍
Refundable deposits to join us at Download, Latitude, Camp Bestival Dorset and Camp Bestival Shropshire will be staying at the same rate as last year, which means a deposit 'top-up' is no longer required if you'd also like to attend Reading and Leeds Festival!
Therefore, one deposit of £95 (or £45 if you've joined us at a festival before) will cover you for a whole summer of incredible events! 🎪
If you're planning on joining us at Download, Latitude, Camp Bestival Dorset or Camp Bestival Shropshire this summer and have never been to Reading and Leeds, perhaps this is your sign to add it on to your application! 🎆
As always, deposits are fully refundable so your deposit will be returned IN FULL after the festival - we don't take any admin fees! Similarly, if you need to cancel your place for any reason you can do so until 20 days before the arrival date of the festival and get every penny of your deposit returned!
Applications to join us at our 2024 festivals open at midday TOMORROW ‼️ Make sure your alarms are set and your speediest internet is waiting as the fastest finger first battle for the earliest deposit payment date (thus eligibility for the best shift patterns) commences! 🏃♂️ 💨 💨
We've been talking with the festival organisers and we're expecting fewer towers at Latitude, Reading and Leeds Festival this summer!
Although we know the number of towers will be reducing, we're not yet aware how many towers there are planned to be, meaning we don't currently know how many paid tower steward positions we're able to offer.
We've therefore taken the decision to hold on opening Latitude tower steward applications tomorrow as the last thing we want to do is offer roles and then find out in a few weeks' time that there are fewer positions available and we need to cancel positions offered.
This won't affect applications for Reading and Leeds Festival as if you're volunteering at Reading and Leeds you choose your preference of being of being on the ground (CAT) in the campsites or on the towers a few weeks before the festival when completing your shift preference selection. It also won't affect applications opening for volunteer CATs and Pixies at Latitude.
We're sorry for the delay in the Latitude tower steward application launch - we had hoped to have confirmation of the number of roles required before we open tomorrow. We hope to open applications for Latitude towers soon, once we've received confirmation of how many roles are required at Latitude. Stay tuned to our newsletters and socials for updates.
If you'd like to join us at Latitude and would like to make sure you've definitely got a place there, you're welcome to apply to volunteer as a CAT or Pixie when applications open tomorrow! 🧚
We can't wait to see you in a festival field this summer!
