We hope you're looking forward to joining us at Latitude Festival this week!
If you haven't already seen, you can view your shift pattern in your Hotbox Events PAAM account in the same place where you selected your shift preferences!
If you've only just applied to join us, or only just selected your shift preferences your shift pattern may still be pending, we're allocating shift patterns daily to check back tomorrow so see which shift pattern you have!
Arrival information, including the gate you need to enter the site via (Orange Gate 2) and a shuttle bus timetable can be found in the PAAM Portal.
Please make sure you check out both the Info Pack and Staff Handbook before you arrive! There's lot of useful documents to read and familiarise yourself with before the festival to ensure you have the best time possible at the festival!
Please don't forget to bring documents to prove your right to work in the UK to the festival.
The options for this are:
We cannot accept photocopies or photographs! We are legally required to see the original documents in person at the festival. We have a safe in the Hotbox office where we can keep documents during the festival if you would prefer not to store them in your tent.
A driving license is not proof of your right to work in the UK. Every year volunteers arrive with their driving license as proof of right to work in the UK and unfortunately need to asked to head back home to collect other documents to prove their right to work in the UK. Please don't let it be you!
It is essential that all staff and volunteers read the new Latitude Festival Accessibility Briefing document in the PAAM Portal before arriving at the festival site. You can log in to your Hotbox Events PAAM account to read this here.
We're looking for the new stars of our Hotbox Events films! These are the videos posted throughout the year on the Hotbox and official festival socials, websites, and shown on the main stage screens in between performances!
Check out our existing films to get an idea of what we're talking about!
Our awesome videographers Wash Media will be joining us this year at Download, Latitude and Camp Bestival Shropshire looking for both staff and volunteers to talk with at the festivals.
So, what will we need you to do? We're looking for people comfortable talking in front of a camera about how they've found the experience, what it's like joining Hotbox at festivals and what the role involves.
We're particularly keen to hear from:
But we're not limited to just those categories!
If you think you might be up for it, please pop us an email or come and see us in the office in the Hotbox compound!
We're receiving a huge volume of emails and messages in the lead up to both Latitude and Camp Bestival Dorset this week. Many questions can be answered in our website FAQs, or in the Info Pack in the PAAM Portal. If we're not able to get back to you as quickly as we would like to, you can pop into our Facebook Group for information and advice from our other Latitude Festival staff and volunteers!
We look forward to seeing you at Latitude Festival this week!
If there is anything you would like to ask or you would just like to chat with us about, the easiest way is to...
You can connect with us @hotboxevents on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
If you would like to chat with others who have joined us before head to our Facebook Group and Forum
On Facebook and in our Forum you will find new and returning staff and volunteers chatting about what it is like to join us at festivals, arranging to share lifts, asking and answering questions about working at festivals and making new friends!
If you have not joined us at a festival before and are wondering what it is like, check out some of our staff and volunteer interviews!
In the interviews you will get to hear from those who have joined us talking about how they found their shifts, how they felt they were looked after by the Hotbox team, what it was like working solo for the first time, taking on more responsibility year on year, and even how the experience and confidence gained has helped with career progression away from festivals!
Another way to see what joining us is like is to check out some of our festival photos!
In our festival photo galleries, you will find thousands of photos covering our festival history over the past twenty years!
It's totally normal to be anxious before coming to a festival, particularly if you're coming solo!
