Camp Bestival Dorset 2024 Shift Patterns, Arrival Details and Info Packs!

Camp Bestival Dorset 2024 Shift Patterns, Arrival Details and Info Packs!

Tuesday, July 23, 2024

We hope you're looking forward to joining us at Camp Bestival Dorset this week!

Shift Patterns

If you haven't already seen, you can view your shift pattern in your Hotbox Events PAAM account in the same place where you selected your shift preferences!

If you've only just applied to join us, or only just selected your shift preferences your shift pattern may still be pending, we're allocating shift patterns daily to check back tomorrow so see which shift pattern you have!

Arrival

The arrival info for Camp Bestival Dorset has changed this year, please make sure you check it out in the Info Pack in the PAAM Portal before you arrive!

All staff, paid stewards and volunteers are now required to go to Pink Gate on arrival. Here you will have your right to work in the UK checked and collect your festival accreditation. Once accredited please head around to Yellow Gate to access the crew car park and Hotbox compound of the crew campsite.

NEW for 2024! We will be running a free shuttle bus from Wareham Station to Pink Gate and then to Yellow Gate on Wednesday 24th July. There's no need to book, just wait for the shuttle bus to come back around to your stop!

There's lots of useful documents to read and familiarise yourself with in the PAAM Portal before the festival so please check it out if you haven't already!

Proving your right to work and volunteer in the UK

Please don't forget to bring documents to prove your right to work in the UK to the festival.

The options for this are:

  • A UK or ROI passport (it can be expired as long as your name has not changed).
  • An original birth certificate in conjunction with an official letter showing your name and NI number (such as a payslip).
  • If you are a non-UK citizen, a Home Office Share Code.

We cannot accept photocopies or photographs! We are legally required to see the original documents in person at the festival. We have a safe in the Hotbox office where we can keep documents during the festival if you would prefer not to store them in your tent.

A driving license is not proof of your right to work in the UK. Every year volunteers arrive with their driving license as proof of right to work in the UK and unfortunately need to asked to head back home to collect other documents to prove their right to work in the UK. Please don't let it be you!

Got a question?

We're receiving a huge volume of emails and messages in the lead up to both Camp Bestival Dorset and Latitude this week. Many questions can be answered in our website FAQs, or in the Info Pack in the PAAM Portal. If we're not able to get back to you as quickly as we would like to, you can pop into our Facebook Group for information and advice from our other Camp Bestival Dorset staff and volunteers!

We look forward to seeing you at Camp Bestival Dorset this week!
