A day in the life of a Hotbox Events festival volunteer

Tuesday, March 26, 2024

Volunteering at a festival can be pretty daunting if you've never done it before, especially if you're going solo! Knowing what to expect when you're on and off-shift will help you feel more prepared and hopefully reduce some anxiety about joining us, letting you focus on getting the maximum enjoyment out of your festival experience! ✨

Let us introduce you to Nik, one of our Download Festival volunteers. Nik joined us as a solo volunteer for the first time in 2018 and has come back to join us every year since. Nik has been on all sorts of adventures with us, including being interviewed about volunteering at festivals live on BBC Radio 1 at Reading Festival in 2021! 🎙️

You can watch Nik show you what a day in the life of a Hotbox volunteer is like here! 🎥

If you've never joined us before, Nik will give you a little insight into the festival volunteering experience 👀 Or if, like Nik, you're a seasoned Hotbox volunteer, we hope this will boost your excitement levels about getting back together on a festival site this summer! ☀️

If you haven't already got your place with us confirmed for this summer and after watching Nik's film you'd like to join us, you can sign up here!

We have very, very low availability remaining for volunteering spots at some of this summer's festivals, so don't miss your chance to get your place and apply ASAP! 🚨
