If you're volunteering with us at Latitude Festival your shifts have now been assigned!
If you're joining us as a paid steward, we're still allocating shifts so check back in a couple of days!
Meal voucher ordering is now open for everyone, and your Latitude Festival Info Packs are also ready!
If you're volunteering with us, you can find out which shift pattern you're on by logging into Hotbox Events PAAM
Your shift is shown on your Latitude Event Info page.
Please note, if you've only had your Latitude volunteer position confirmed in the last couple of days, your shift may still be pending. We're assigning new volunteer shifts every few days so please check back for an update!
As we just opened paid steward applications last week, we're yet to allocate paid steward shifts - check back in a couple of days to find out your shift pattern!
Pixies are information and assistance stewards based in the Latitude woods and you guessed it - they get to dress as pixies!
We have a limited number of fairy wings, tutus, bubble wands and glitter you'll be able to borrow for your shift. Although, if you're able to, we always recommend bringing your own pixie gear if you can as our pixie dress up box tends to look a little worn by the end of the weekend! Plus, we love the variety in the pixie outfits you wear!
When it comes to what to wear for your pixie shifts, you can never be too extra! Think wings, tutus, flower garlands, flower crowns, head dresses, hair accessories, glow sticks, deely boppers and the more glitter and sparkle the better! Amazon, Ebay, Etsy and Facebook Marketplace are all good places to check out for pixie outfits, as well as any local fancy dress shops!
Need some inspiration? Check out our Latitude festival photo galleries to see our previous pixie's outfits!
You can now login to order your meal vouchers!
We'll be using Latitude's crew catering facilities this year. The Latitude caterers will be based in the main crew area, close to where our compound is, serving a variety of hot meals and packed lunches at a greatly discounted price compared to the public festival food outlets.
All meals from crew catering must be pre-ordered - there will be no walk up and buy option!
You can pre-order meal vouchers from Hotbox for £6.20 per voucher.
Latitude meal vouchers will be day and meal specific - so if you order a Friday Breakfast voucher, it must be used for Friday breakfast!
Paid Tower Stewards receive one meal voucher per shift, we have pre-ordered breakfast vouchers for you all as breakfast timings line up with all shift patterns. Please contact us if you have any questions about this!
To order your Latitude meal vouchers:
Please note the deadline for pre-ordering meal vouchers is midnight Thursday 14th July.
The Hotbox compound will house a large marquee with tables, chairs and kettles, providing 24-hour access to hot water, tea and coffee! We will be providing some tea, coffee, milk and sugar although PLEASE bring your own mug!
Also, if you tend to drink a lot of tea and coffee, please bring some extra supplies as ours won't last forever!
Please login and read your Latitude Info Pack and Docs!
There is a wealth of info in the pack including pre-event and onsite contact details, travel and arrival info, where and when you need to check-in at Latitude, information about festival passes, how volunteer shifts are organised, Latitude catering, your briefings and training sessions, emergency procedures, staff and volunteer roles and responsibilities at the festival, festival security procedures, festival CCTV, Health and Safety, festival communications and more!
The information within the packs is very important so please make sure you login and read it before you arrive at Latitude!
To read your Info Pack, you need to:
We're receiving a lot of questions about joining us at Latitude; most of the answers can now be found in the Info Pack or in the FAQs on our website so please make sure you read yours!
You'll also find the below documents in the Portal, please make sure you read them before arriving at Latitude:
And finally, please make sure you have your proof of right to work in the UK sorted! It's better to avoid a last-minute panic by checking you know where your passport/birth certificate and NI document are now than 5 minutes before you're due to leave for the festival!
We're required to see the original documents at the festival site, we cannot accept photocopies.
If you're using a Home Office Share Code as proof of your right to work in the UK, please ensure this has been emailed to us along with your date of birth before the festival.
Please note - a driving licence is NOT proof of your right to work in the UK!
See you next week!
If there is anything you would like to ask or you would just like to chat with us about volunteering, the easiest way is to...
You can connect with us @hotboxevents on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
If you would like to chat with others who have volunteered with us before head to our Facebook Group and Forum
On Facebook and in our Forum you will find new and returning volunteers chatting about what it is like to volunteer at festivals, arranging to share lifts, asking and answering questions about volunteering at festivals and making friends with other volunteers!
If you have not volunteered at a festival before and are wondering what it is like, check out some of our staff and volunteer interviews!
In the interviews you will get to hear from volunteers who have joined us talking about how they found their shifts, how they felt they were looked after by the Hotbox team, what it was like volunteering solo for the first time, taking on more responsibility year on year and progressing from a volunteer to staff role, and even how the experience and confidence gained has helped with career progression away from festivals!
Another way to see what volunteering is like is to check out some of our festival photos!
In our festival photo galleries, you will find thousands of photos covering our festival volunteering history over the past twenty years!
It's totally normal to be anxious before coming to a festival, particularly if you're volunteering solo! We get hundreds of messages every year from volunteers wanting to join us but nervous about doing it, so we promise you're not alone! We're a very friendly bunch so if there's anything we can do to reduce your anxiety please get in touch! Try joining our Facebook Group to make friends with others before the festival - there are even a few WhatsApp groups that have been set up too!
If you have specific questions about volunteering at festivals try our festival FAQs!
Our festival FAQs are regularly updated and packed full of answers to the questions we are usually asked, plus lots of handy hints and tips about volunteering at festivals.
