We're now just a week away from the 2018 Latitude Festival and everyone in the Hotbox office is busy preparing to welcome our volunteers to another amazing Latitude!
At Latitude Festival our volunteers help all over the festival site! We look after the festival goers in the campsites, keep an eye out from the fire towers, help at the wristband exchanges, the campsite gates and campervan area, in the arena, the children's area, the guest area, the performers campsite...
We also have a team of festival pixies! Our pixie volunteers work in the Faraway Forest and In The Woods. Similar to our campsite volunteers, our pixie volunteers help the festival goers by answering questions, providing directions, keeping an eye out for any fire risks, working with the Faraway Forest and In The Woods managerial and security teams when the wooded areas become very busy late at night to control the crowds and make sure everyone enjoys their festival experience.
If you're joining us as a Latitude Festival Pixie next week, there is one key requirement you need to be aware of...that you'll need to be dressed as a pixie whilst you work!
It's of course not the usual work attire, so we'll offer a few pixie dress hints and tips...
The Hotbox Events office (which resembles a pixie dressing room at shift changes!) will have a selection of pixie wear including wings, ears, hats, face paint and glitter.
If you're allocated to a pixie shift please do come prepared if you can and bring your own pixie accessories! In previous years our Hotbox pixies have brought along:
