We'd like to send out our very best wishes for the holiday season to all of our staff and volunteers who joined us at 2017's festivals!
As 2017 comes to an end we've been reflecting on a very successful festival season...
It was amazing to be invited to Download Festival for the first time in June 2017 and fantastic that so many of our staff and volunteers were keen to join us at Donington Park! Our newly named Dog Squad worked their socks off helping to support the Download Festival goers across the event and the feedback from the Download Festival organisers and the public has been brilliant so again a huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our first Download festival!
In July we headed to Suffolk for our 10th year at Latitude Festival! It was wonderful to see you all having so much fun whilst supporting the festival goers in the campsites, arena, woods, in the kid's area, on the towers, the gates, and of course not forgetting everyone who was out and about keeping an eye on the many little extras we help with at Latitude! Your feedback after a festival is always very much appreciated, both the lovely messages we received from everyone who joined us at Latitude this summer and your suggestions for improvements. We managed to implement some of these at festivals later in the summer including hot drink and snack deliveries and dedicated toilets in our compound! 2018 is already in the planning so please keep the suggestions coming!
We were delighted to return to the Virgin V Festival in August, again to manage the ticket scanning on the festival gates and this year also helping to support the festival goers in the campsite and arena! The festival organisers were absolutely thrilled with everything you did at V; feeding back throughout the weekend that you were all doing an amazing job! So a huge thank you to everyone who joined us at V this summer!
Heading towards the end of our festival filled summer we arrived at Reading Festival with a team of over 900 people! Our teams working in the campsites, arena, and in 2017 also covering the festival's fire towers. With such a large team and so many positions to cover we knew it would be a challenge, but thanks to your amazing efforts it proved to be a hugely successful week and the feedback from Reading has been better than ever!
Our Leeds team wasn't quite as large as Reading, but on the flip side, you had so much to cover! From the campsites and fire towers, through the arena and silent disco, to the Campsite DJ stages...and of course not forgetting our small fleet of crew and guest minibuses, there really wasn't anywhere you couldn't be found at Leeds 2017! Every single one of you went above and beyond so a massive thank you to everyone who joined us at Leeds!
We finished our busiest summer yet on a massive high feeling immensely proud and grateful to you all. No matter the challenge, you rose to it, providing the fantastic service and support you've become known for.
So to round things off, we'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We're already looking forward to seeing you in a field, or two...or three, or four, in 2018!
