We're pleased to be able to let you know that deposit returns for everyone who volunteered with Hotbox Events at the 2014 Latitude Festival, Reading Festival and Leeds Festival and adhered to our Terms and Conditions are now in the post and on their way to you! We'd expect cheques to start dropping through letterboxes in the next day or so but please do give them a little time to make their way to you.
If you've not received your deposit cheque by the 1st November please contact us.
International returns will all be processed within the next 48 hours.
Please remember that there are some standard deductions from deposit returns which depend on how you paid your deposit and if you purchased any meal vouchers or ponchos at the festivals. The standard deductions are:
Although we're still a few days ahead of last year, we would like to send out an apology for the deposits heading out later than we had hoped in 2014. As those of you who have volunteered with us before will notice; we've changed cheque processing supplier this year; as can be seen by the different format of cheque you'll receive (a single letter with a cheque attached to the bottom rather than a separate cheque and compliments slip). The new supplier has cost us a lot more but we did it in an attempt to expedite the deposit return process with a view to having the cheques in the post by the end of September at the latest. Unfortunately, a number of mistakes made by our bank delayed the new supplier and thus the deposit return process by nearly 3 weeks. Following a lot of chasing and the banks formal complaints team getting involved the problems have been overcome, so you don't need to worry. Although again, we'd like to apologise for the delay as you all did an amazing job this year, we received better feedback than ever before, so we were really hoping to end on another high.
