Following last night's storms there is now no hiding from the fact that autumn is now well and truly upon us, which of course means winter is only just around the corner.
For all of us UK based festival lovers this usually means at least six months of being locked behind closed doors whilst waiting for the condensation to finally clear from the windows!
So if next summer feels like too long to wait for another dose of festival frivolity head over to the PAAM volunteer software blog and check out their brand new Best European 2013-2014 Autumn and Winter Festivals Guide!
The new PAAM guide includes some fantastic festivals, featuring 5 of the best taking place across Europe.
If you're looking to escape to snowier climbs and hit the slopes, then Snowboxx is the festival for you! Taking place in Andorra, this festival has everything you need to enjoy your skiing/snowboarding holiday to the max. Snowboxx not only has the slopes to rival any ski resort but it also have the tunes and of course the Apres sessions to make it unmissable.
Or perhaprs you're looking for something a tad warmer, a little more culture, and a boatload of history? If that's you then get yourself over to Venice, Italy between 22nd February and 4th March for The Carnevale di Venezia. The centuries old celebration has become quite the spectacle over many years with elaborate costumes and mask filling St Marks Square. This party should be on everyone's bucket list, not only is it a feast for the senses but it's also in Venice, so there's bound to be great food and drink on offer all over the place!
If your looking for something closer to the usual UK music festival then Iceland Airwaves Music Festival has a bit of everything to offer. With an electic mix of artists and genres there is something to suit all tastes. For anyone who was stunned by Kraftwerk's set at Latitude, you can catch them once again in Reykjavik.
