Festival Republic has asked Hotbox Events for 21 new staff for the 2011 Leeds Festival! The new paid staff positions are to replace the previously voluntary zone leader positions.
The reason for the change is continuity. Previously the CAT team leader in each zone - supervising and briefing the CAT volunteers within that zone and being a point of contact for zone managers - has been an experienced volunteer. As each CAT volunteer only works three eight hour shifts throughout the festival, the team leaders change frequently.
With the new setup three team leaders will be allocated to each zone. Each day (Wed to Mon) one team leader will work the early shift, one the late shift and one the night shift within each zone. We hope this new setup will improve the performance of the CATs within the zones and liaison with other managers and teams.
If you are interested in becoming one of the new paid team leaders at the 2011 Leeds Festival please contact us!
If you have already applied to volunteer at Leeds Festival don't worry you can change to working as staff if this is what you would prefer.
