Festival Republic - producers of the Latitude Festival, Reading Festival and Leeds Festival - works hard to minimise the environmental impacts of their festivals.
Last year successful campaigns included the tent recovery program with more than 10,000 items recovered and redistributed at Reading & Leeds Festivals; more than 90% of all paper beer cups were collected through the 10p deposit/refund program and recycled at Reading & Leeds; an innovative re-usable beer cup was used at Latitude Festival saving tonnes of waste.
This year Festival Republic will be continuing to promote their existing green initiatives and introducing new ones to encourage festival goers, staff and volunteers to do all they can to reduce waste at festival sites.
