Hi all. Me and my friend are CATs for the first time this year - first time going to a festival ever ever ever (and we're old compared to most people on here!!).
Just a bit concerned about getting there, getting shifts, getting all my stuff to the campsite. We're not going to get there until late on Wed but aren't that bothered about what shifts we do as long as we can work together. Where is the staff camping though? It's (understandably) not on the Leeds Festival map - but where is it? Are the car parks far away? Is it easy to leave stuff in the car and come back for it if needed or should we take EVERYTHING to our tents?
Thanks!

OK I also meant to add - it says this in our pack \"If you arrive after 12:00 please enter site via the Public Gates / Weekend Parking Gates and park in the public car parks. You cannot walk
from the public car parks to the Boneyard - please make your way to Holly's gate (grid reference Indigo-18) where a CAT will be waiting\".
Why can't we walk there? And where's Holly's gate?
i don't know about holly's gate as i've always arrived early and entered through the staff one.
but i can help with the rest! here's the site map to the festival

obviously the pubic car parks are over by the public camping. CAT camping is in the boneyard which isn't on the map but is located roughly behind the dance/lockup stage (number 3 on the map). to walk there you would have to go through the arena or the roads where the pubic aren't allowed to go and seeing as you won't have your staff wristbands yet that means that you can't either!
so i'd say public parking is quite a way from the CAT campsite. though you should be able to go back and forth once you have signed in and are wearing your wristband
emilyr,
You need to refer to http://www.hotboxevents.com/news/default.asp?dateRangeSelect=single&articleNumber=476 rather than the info in the pack - arrival details have changed slightly.
