Hi. I shall be at Leeds in Team Indigo. It's my first time and I am an older than usual volunteer, I guess. I am a photographer. Very young at heart! Anyone like to offer me any tips, please?

Hi Tina,

Not sure just how older you are and a gentleman does not enquire but I am also old so you won’t be alone. They are letting me out of the home for a few days. No tips as I have not volunteered before so not that useful a contribution to your post.

Hi, Kerry

Thanks for replying & for your polite discretion.

I am an etremely young at heart, 60year old retired teacher who has just discovered I can shoot decent gig shots, which is why I applied.

Are you in Team Indigo too?

You have a couple of years on me. I am Indigo Fire Tower or something. Have been to last couple of years with my son but he has decided to go to America for the summer and abandon me so thought I would try this. Some tips

- definitely have boots

- have something warm for sleeping it gets really cold

- take something to pee in overnight (you can buy things - not a bed pan :-) )

- something to sit on if you can carry it

You can buy most things there if you forget
