Hi just a quick question for previous CATs - how does the crew cafe compare price-wise to food stalls around the festival? Just popped into my head earlier.
Thanks! [:)]

its about 4.50 for a full meal, its about the same price as a burger from one of the stalls

Thank you - so not dirt cheap but more for your crème?[:)]

yeah

There's a Tescos fairly close to Reading though, so you should be able to get food from there. And the crew cafe should offer free coffee/tea/hot water, so you should be okay for drinks.

yeah, but the food is a bit better, you get more of a meal then just a burger.

It's the same catering company as Latitude, which started off really well - For 4.50 you got a typical meat-and-two-veg type meal (or Vegetarian alternative) and a pudding, plus unlimited free coffee/tea/water. Unfortunately at Latitude they run out of puddings fairly quickly and ran out of cups, coffee and tea by the end of the weekend, so it may be worth taking your own cup and a small supply of coffee/tea.

haha, sounds like great weekend, lol, pot noodles work very well with the hot water too...

or super noodles

dolly2112 posted this 06 August 2008

pot noodles easier, ya have the pot, and tadah, you got your dinner

Thanks all, might not have to worry about cooking then! Not camped since Phoenix festival 12 years ago and certainly never worked at a festival so didn't know about the fabulousness of the facilities available(!)

bags666 posted this 06 August 2008

true but super noodles take up less space

dolly2112 posted this 06 August 2008

haha fabulousness? You've def never been before, its a giant tent, definatley nothing fabulous about it, lol....

bags666 posted this 06 August 2008

natpet posted this 06 August 2008

Yeah kind of thought that! Looking forward to it though!

natpet posted this 06 August 2008
