Hey everyone, Reading will be my first festival, and so I'm now really excited =)
But as im a complete noob, i was wondering, what do we as crew get entitled too? I mean, is our food normal price/cheaper etc.
And for those who have been before, how much money do you end up spending?
Cheers

You will have access to a crew cafe and will be able to purchase meals from there for a lower price than the stalls/burger vans.
You can get away with spending very little if you budget yourself and don't go crazy buying beer in the arena.
sweet, well, i also have a camping stove, and you're allowed to take cans of beer right? so yeah, hopefully won't spend to much =)
atm i dont think we are allowed gas stoves at reading, same with the rest of the site, you are allowed disposable bbqs which have to be off the ground and your allowed hexi block and meth stoves. Regarding beer yes cans are allowed
one thing they don't mention and im not sure if it is official, but if you enter the area thorugh the staff entrance the security do not check your bags so you can fill your bag with tastey goodies from the Tescos (200yards from the Crew camp)
Well i think i have a hexi somewhere, i'll take that then.
So how much money have past CATS gone through?
hmm not sure
yeah there is for phones
Is there anywhere that we'll have access to a power socket??
i take it those last 2 posts are in the wrong order...
at leeds last year we had a huge white (well, white before it got muddy) gazeboeythingymabob with sockets next to the tea and coffee stuff. and if you're really nice the campsite supervisor might let you use the ones at the caravan base whilst youre on shift (if they actually have power on the campsite unlike white for the first few days last year)
Ohhh jojo, that was terrible, was not a good start been without lights.
