Preferably between 09:00 - 10:00 if you intend to work on the Wednesday Shift.
Kind regards,N
i wont be able to get there tht early, is tht a problem? i imagine ill be able to get there for a about 3.pm
Its not a problem getting there in the afternoon, its just the first shift starts at 2pm on the wed,and the 1st briefing is between midday and 2pm but you can book in in the afternoon which is fine as there is a second briefing at 9pm.
Me nd my friend are planning on arriving for about 10ish but due to his impeccably slow driving and my inability to read a map we probs wont get there till about 11ish, would we still be able to work that wed shift?
The joys of working a 7pm - 7am shift on the Tuesday night mean I'll probably be struggling for the early shift as well, unless zombie-like is a good look for Wednesday afternoon :(
Al.
How do we know what time we are meant to be there? I said I was available to work Wednesday but is it ok if come to evening session?
Just to clear up a few things... Shifts are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so therefore the first 30-odd to sign in will be asked to work the Wednesday day-time shift - It's best to try and turn up between 09:00 - 10:00.
But don't worry because even if you are the last person to arrive you will still end up with time to go and see bands during the weekend - We try to be as fair as possible and give everyone some time off during the weekend.
And if you are given a shift that you really don't like then you can always find another CAT volunteer to swap with - Just make sure you and the person you're swapping with have both discussed it with your Project Supervisor and Shift Supervisors first, so that they have a record of the names of those working.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at Reading, as I'm sure Jo Shields is looking forward to meeting everyone at Leeds.
Kind regards,
i will be getting there for around 10
