I am from the US and am living in Paris for a few months. I would like to volunteer as a CAT for the Carling Weekend in Leeds. I emailed the British consulate here in Paris telling them my details and they gave me some links about visas and volunteering but none of it really related to anything I asked. Do I need a permit or anything to volunteer? I read the FAQ and know a bunch of people from around the world volunteer and everything, but I also read that some people may need permits. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

You do not need a permit or visa for working as a Festival CAT as the work is unpaid.
