Long story short, my boyfriend tried to buy four weekend tickets for Reading. Found out he bought them off a bogus website. Managed to cancel said tickets, we now have no tickets.
I've applied to volunteer as a CAT, and have had an offer, buuut I'm a bit undecided as to whether to go ahead and accept the position.
There are loads of my friends who got their hands on real tickets, and will be camping for the weekend. I don't know whether to wait for the possibility of more tickets going on sale and being able to spend time with my friends and declining the offer of CAT, or to accept that position and make the most out of bad situation. At least I'd still be going to Reading, right?
I need a little help deciding guys! :( Is being a CAT as great as it all sounds at this end?

I've never been before but i think its going to be great... look at it this way none of your friends can say theyv'e worked at reading : ) plus you'll still have some time to spend with them and enjoy the festival.
I applied for a CAT position but when receipt of my application was confirmed I discovered my name has been put down for a pa id DCSS position. As this is totally unsuitable for me I'm trying to get it changed. If that's not possible I wil have to cancel my application (and hopefully get a refund).
e-mail the dcss guys or they may even read your post a sort it out for you. from what i've heard they are really good about things like that and can sort things out quickly!
I've sent an email so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I was offered a DCSS position but I've just turned it down. Let's hope they can offer me a CAT position instead.
They have indeed sorted it out for me and I have been offered a CAT place. I'm now looking forward to it.
