Ok, so I've seen quite a few scattered posts about the forums saying there's a few folks going from Liverpool lime street on the Tuesday. Basicly, who's up for it? Let us know what time and how many people are gonna be in on it?

There's a few of us getting the 10:22am train from lime street, and then some more joining in manchester, should be good!

safety :) you guys book ahead or just getting tickets on the day? and how much were they?

jojo posted this 11 August 2009

i've booked mine, figured it would be cheaper

lime street also fails at ticket booths atm, the most people i've seen selling tickets at any one time during the last 2 months or so was 2, despite there being about 8 booths

Topcat,
Cheapest available is an off-peak return, at £27.40. This'll be your best bet as well so you don't have to specify which train you will travel home on on Monday (or Tuesday, whatever). You can buy these tickets from the ticket office at Liverpool on the day (or in advance if it's easier, but it's no cheaper).

There are cheaper single tickets available to Leeds on Tuesday (£11.50) if you buy in advance, but there are no cheap tickets left from Leeds on Monday (£25 cheapest).

www.thetrainline.com if you want to buy online.

Any other train questions let me know, it's my proper job!
Al.

everyone setting off from liverpool do you wanna meet at the end of the platform so we can all try and sit together?
we should maybe set a time but i'm going to be there massively early anyway probably because i don't trust taxis haha!

Spanielle posted this 19 August 2009

Yeah i'll probably be there at about 10, just in case! I'm glad there's a group of us going from liverpool, should be fun :)

Topcat posted this 19 August 2009

By the end of the platform i can only assume you mean the far end? And yes, ill not be risking it, i have bad luck with trains so i should be there for about ten! :P

jojo posted this 19 August 2009

erm, i meant the bit that you first walk onto...no point walking all the way past the train! haha
