Each CAT volunteer works 3 x 8 hr shifts ONLY (24 hrs in total throughout the festival).
# CAT staff work from 3 x 8 hr shifts to 10 hrs per day depending on position.
# The first CAT shift starts at 13:00 Thursday.
# The CATs are on-shift 24 hours between 13:00 Thursday and 16:00 Monday.
# The shift times are: Early: 08:00 > 16:00, Late: 16:00 > 00:00, Night: 00:00 > 08:00.

What time does the first shift end if it starts at 1.00pm on Thursday?

I know the Reading one started at 2.00pm on Wednesday and ended at midnight, but you had a 2 hour break, or rather 2 x 1 hour breaks on my shift.

Anybody know from previous years... ?

Thanks.

The first shift ends at midnight.

Start times on the first day are never set in stone ? vary dependant on all sorts.

We actually need you out there for 14:00.

We say 13:00 as it takes longer for all to find their zones on the first day.

Thanks Mark, would this then mean a 2 hour break/2 x 1 hour breaks to bring this to an 8 hour working shift?

Yes.

Although working at a music festival isn't an exact science so please try and be flexible.

Question regarding arrival times :-

The main info page for Latitude, suggests that the arrival day/time is for WEDNESDAY 15th JULY and first shift being THURSDAY 16th JULY per my quote in first posting above; however, the catering/menu link shows menus and prices for TUESDAY 14th JULY..

So.. are CATs expected to arrive on TUESDAY 14th or WEDNESDAY 15th ?

Just wanna make sure, so can co-ordinate lift share and make any other arrangements at home.

Many thanks in advance.

The menus are just for your reference.

Some of us will be there from the Monday.

Even as a returner, if there is time I'll walk the site before my first shift, same for Leeds.

It helps to find the pathways before they are full of people! [:)]

It is a beautiful walk when no one is on the sites ,well worth a group trip round to get the feel of the place

Agreed. Latitude is a lovely site, wandering through the woods, watching the last minute preparations, painted sheep.... can't come round soon enough.
I too will have recce of the site just in case they've changed anything from last year before actually going on shift.
