Hi,
Basically.....me and my girlfriend are thinking about applying to be CATs at leeds 08. I went to Leeds last year but this would be my first year as a volunteer, and i was just wondering how it compares to going as a ticket holder????
What are the ups and downs to volunteering??
also....are the volunteers facilities (e.g. campsite, toilets and showers etc) any better than the regular facilities???
Thankyou!

You get hot showers, cleaner loo's, hot food, free tea and coffee, safer camping, and a 5 min walk into the main arena.
We have BBQ's, games, and random fun when we are not on shift.

You do work 3 8 hour shifts, and you can pick which shifts you want to do.
So the rest of the time do as you would like a normal ticket holder.
I love doing it, must do as im back again for the 3rd year!!!
If you have mates in the campsites you can camp with them, just aslong as you walk to us to log in for your shift. Any questions just ask. xx

We DO NOT want volunteers camping in the general campsites. CAT volunteers must camp in the secure crew camping area provided.

Kind regards,

Tavis

I wasnt planning on camping with freinds in the main camping...... but just out of pure curiosity? why?

Is it so people are near for signing in for their shift?

Yes - All CATs will need to sign-in at the office in the Crew Camping both before and after their shift. Camping in the crew area also makes it easier for us to inform CATs of any changes to briefing times, shift times, festival alterations, etc.

Kind regards,

Tavis
