Is the 3x night shifts any different from any other shifts, any reason behind this?

Apart from the fact it's 3x night shifts, no.

Anything in particular you are wondering?

The reason we need more people on the Fri, Sat & Sun nights is that this is when the campsites are busiest - all those heading out of the arena into the campsites.

wont Thursday night also be busy as there's little entertainment but still most of the weekend campers?

So you would be allocated to one campsite for the 3 shifts as normal

So these are extras in addition to the cats already working the shift?

yeah matt

ahh so thats a touch under 7 extra per campsite although i guess there will be more on the busier campsites. It makes a lot of sense in my opinion, a greater presence is a positive thing.

Thu night is busy, although not as busy as Fri, Sat & Sun.

I expect you'll find more cats on yellow and green campsites then any other as people would use these to get to where they want to be, and possible no extra on white campsite.
And with yellow and green being the more lively camp sites on sunday nights as you said matt can only be a positive thing.

Yeah. Fair point, the \"quieter\" campsites I'm pressuming would not need the extra man power as much as yellow, green and purple especially on the Sunday night. I don't think I would want to do three night shifts on the bounce though!

Working nights throughout isn't as bad as you may think. The only drawback is the weird looks you get when you crack your after shift beer first thing in the morning when other people are only just waking up. I would recommend to anyone thinking of working the 3 nights that they take an extra day off work post festival. Do not try and return to work on Tuesday morning! It just doesn't happen.

i like working the night shifts however dont fancy doing sunday night!! I open a can first thing when i'm not working at a festival
