Please see the following pages for a list of roles and responsibilities...

The ticket holders start arriving on Wednesday, so you'll typically be assisting with tent pitching and directions for the first couple of days.

Kind regards,

Tavis

Ive never worked a festival at all before, Im apprehensive but excited. If i like it ill start doing it at more and more festivals if poss.

Ive been to around 20 festivals, so am pretty clued up on what to take but is there anything more specific i should take for working as a CAT rather than just didgeridooing and going? Id imagine its pretty much the same innit?

bags666 posted this 03 July 2008

yeah its pretty much the same except i recomend some very comfy strong shoes cos you will be doing alot of walking

sim667 posted this 03 July 2008

cool..... hopefully it'll be nice and dry at reading, so my skate shoes should be ok, but ill bring some comfy boots too.

bags666 posted this 03 July 2008

i usually wear my steel toe cap boots from work when i do my shifts, comfy and strong

sim667 posted this 04 July 2008

I hvent got any boots like that, although im sure i have some hiking boots somewhere.

I have wellies, but i cant ever remember needing them at reading, they were more for glasto.

mark - s posted this 04 July 2008

tbh unless you rememeber to put good socks on x2 then wellies can be more trouble than usefull. sure they keep water out but then have a tendancy to knacker your feet. i would just stick to a strong pair of boots with good ancle support. i use my old steel maintanence boots but hiking ones would be fine

Any ideas about parking at reading? Do we need to didgeridoo? Is there a secure staff car park?

sim667 posted this 08 July 2008

a didgeridoo?!?!

Will they contact us with definate details of where to go etc........ they provided us with online details but i have often found things organised solely through a website to be notoriosly unreliable.

You'll get a \"CAT pack\" through the post a week or so before the event. Mine has just arrived for Latitude next week.
That's just as in only just opened the post after a fornights' holiday, probably arrived earlier...
If it hasn't arrived in time sim667, print out the registered page from PAMM, you'll be fine.

sim667 posted this 14 July 2008

Groovy....... It will blates turn up in time..... Ive just had things like that before where no info turned up...... at least its online :)

Hi all, my first time as a CAT at Reading festival thoug I've stewarded at the festival before.
A parking question: is a parking permit provided as part of the pack, or will I need to book one myself?

Tavis posted this 14 July 2008

Parking permits are issued onsite.

Kind regards,

Tavis
