I am aware that there are shuttle buses but in previous years when working at Leeds I have used local buses which go from leeds city centre to Thorner village where there is a stop directly outside blue gate. I was wondering whether you have any details about these buses. They just make it a lot easier as firstly they mean you don't need to lug your stuff all the way accross from the main gate and secondly are considerably cheaper. Any details would be appreciated even if it is just the number of the route.
Cheers
Dave

Guess I should have checked the net first, now I'm going to answer my own question but here it is if your intrested. route 770/771 heads through thorner, if thats still running the same during the festival looks like a good bet.

(for both Leeds & Reading people....) If you use www.transportdirect.info you can plan your journeys, either by public transport or by car. It's a very good site and the directions it gives are (usually) spot on. Also saves having to switch between train companies, and bus timetables to do your planning.
