This is something I thought about last year when the lift share thread opened and then someone else mentioned it at Latitude last weekend so I thought I'd put it in writing.
Why not have lift share threads per festival, so there is one for Big Chill, one for Latitude, one for Leeds and one for Reading? Each one further subdivided into lifts offered and lifts required. That way people requiring or offering lifts will only check the ones relevant to themselves. It is a pain checking every reply on the entire list despite ticking the 'subscribe' option.
Oh, and a little moan, please remind people not to carry on certain conversations on the thread but to use email.[:)]
