Nice gadget Jo, but I presume once we've arrived and set up for the week, we return to the old tried and tested method of keeping our fingers crossed!! Anyway, it's not going to rain..... [8D]
Thats the same thing I used for Download festival and it was pretty damn accurate for that! I do agree with Mike tho - its not going to rain!!
Looks like Reading will be warmer than Leeds... As long as that's the case I'm happy! ;-)
... Good job the CATs get waterproof jackets though!
thats usually the case...touch wood
The first three years of CATs when I worked at Leeds it was always nicer weather up North... Last year I worked Reading and it was nicer weather down South... Hopefully I'm a good weather omen and it'll be the same in 2007!
well every year i have been its been better weather down south, but saying that this yr it may be opposite...touch wood
if it gets bad enough, im just gona go home and sleep in a bed for the night, lol

lol true but that aint proper camping
and?? lol
doing enough festivals this summer, if the weather is rubbish, its nice to have the option to sleep in a bed in the warmth and wake up dry!
fair enough
The metcheck button hasn't updated for most of the summer (25deg. 55% chance of rain). The metcheck site (for Leeds) now has forecasts for Tue 21 (showers, heavier overnight), Wed 22 (showers dying out) & Thurs 23 (cloudy). Not warm though, with a bit of a breeze for the Wednesday arrivals (Catch the gazeboes!)
Expect a heatwave then!
Al.
Thats cos it doesnt update really till 14 days before the event! Which by my count is tomorrow ;)
waterproof??
water proof jackets??
I hid in 2 bin bags last year when muse were playing.
The \"waterproof\" jacket sint really that waterproof is it.

soggyness in the first 2 hours of your shift is a little off putting, lol

Although you want a decent waterproof for while you're working, I found it was much too warm when I was in the crowds watching the bands.
£1 for a polythene hooded cape from one of the stall onsite did the job for me.
Don't shoot the messenger but have a look at Metcheck for next Thursday :(...
...and dig out the wellies!
better dig out the waterproofs
...and now it says no rain 'til Monday (wasn't that a Beastie Boys song?)
I'm not going to check any more, take shorts and wellys and all will be fine!
Al.
