What a fantastic team we had this year and we commend you all for your hard work up at Leeds depsite the awful weather ,most of you made new friends and were already talking about working future festivals together which is brilliant .
Hopefully we won't have to wait 12 months from now to see you all again, as the next one will be Latitude for the Cats in July 2009 and we would love for you all to attend .
Many thanks again

Thanks for the opportunity, met some great people despite coming alone :)
Thanks Jo, I will be back again that is for sure. Despite the mud all over the camp and especially how bad it was in White Village campsite (where I was working) it hasn't put me off. Again despite coming on my own met some amazing people =)
Thanks
Dan
Hi,
After a very shakey start, me and my brother did enjoy being A \"cat\" it was tres bon, everyone was very nice and approachable... definitley consider doing a few more festivals next year.
My only complaint for me would be the start, and that shortish queue that took about 5 hours to sign up to the shift's for, on the wednesday. After driving a couple of hours and putting up the tent, I went straight to the cabin to sign in, all i got was some confusion, I was pretty thirsty and hungry. I kept holding out hope the comparatively small queue would go down rather rapidly, than leave the queue to get a drink and some food.
I think a lot of the complaints in the queue was the not knowing of how long it'd take, I think someone coming out and giving us a rough estimate of the time it may take would of been a good idea.
Also, surely their is a better system to put in place that would take a lot less time or was there teething problems? It just wasn't a good impression, could of put people off from the start, which is a shame because they would of missed out.
I hope this isn't took in the wrong way, after the wednesday I enjoyed it immensely with the people I worked with. Just constructive critiscm to hopefully iron out a few problems, and only improve the DC volunteer experience for everyone involved.
Just a suggestion, how about a thread inviting peoples ideas on how to improve for next year? be good feedback i'm sure. Anyway i'm going on a bit now! cheers
The problem we found with booking in is that we shared a portacabin with DC site services, and although we had two signs up on each window for CAT office, We found that an awful lot people in the Cat queue were actually DC workers wanting to sign up for DC work and Cats that had queued for a long time actually missed the Cat office and went straight to the DC office only to be told then had come to the wrong place and had to queue all over again .it was only when we came out and did a shout out to all the Cats and DC workers to make sure they had the right queue that things started moving quickly .
We do apologise for this as the weather was not up to its best either, But we are really glad you stayed .
my feet got so wet i have to go to the doctors now! haha! was a good week though, the mud on white was so knackering and made getting anywhere about 5 times longer than usual but at least it made the shift go quicker! i shall be back next year for the 3rd time and may even venture to latitude depending on travel crème! :)
i did think it was quite odd closing some of the shifts during sign up and then reopening them as people had got there early specifically to get the shifts they wanted but thankfully me and my friend got the last 2 places on team A before it was closed :)
Yes i was quite annoyed i had got there really early to get good shifts and they stopped team A just before me, and said i could come back tomorrow when they re-open it. Ended up on team D, but that was okay in the end
Just like to say \"thank-you\" to Benj and John from Gaz'a shift who carried my food-and-drink-for-three-stuffed bag through Orange campsite last Wednesday afternoon - I was practically on my knees.
Yeah after queuing 5 hours we got told a shift was not taking anymore at this moment, which is rather annoying, why wait in a queue then? Just a bit more organisation wouldnt go a miss.
Hi Cats
I would just like to say what a cool time I had at Leeds and as I went on my own it was nice that people were so welcoming. The mud and the rain got a bit challenging at times but just added to the whole mad experience!
Many thanks to you all

ps Feedback...
I think the Cats should be equiped with a pair of desposable latex gloves, as some of the situations you come across on the campsites do warrant them [:p] [xx(]
I would just like to say a quick thanks to the Team B White Village CAT Crew for the great job they did, amazing bunch of people (White CAT Area Supervisor Team B)

I felt the same :( i went down and camped by 1pm tuesday (extra day off work also) so that i had a good chance of getting team A, but complications arose at the office as i gather and couldnt be helped. I ended up getting third choice team but i must say, having done that shift i was more than happy with it :)
surely there'd be a better system just in case problems came about again, dont know what though. simple ticket system, at first visit to the cabin? then when called you get preference, those that dont show when called would just have to wait. Think its 99p for a raffle ticket book :P
