I am volunteering at Leeds and need to be in Paris by the morning of the 28th (so really the night of the 27th). Last train for Paris from London is something like 20:10, and it is going to be a real close call to make that train if I leave from Leeds at 16:00 or 17:00 via train or whatever. Do you think I can just ask a shift supervisor when I get there to not give me one of the last shifts so I can leave 'early' on the 27th? Thanks for your advice.

Hi Kat

There are five \"rotas\", each with three shifts during the event.
The last shift is Monday 8am - 4pm.

If you do end up on that rota and feel its too close to call, you'll need to swap either the whole rota or a single shift with another CAT. Chances are there will be someone who would rather work Monday daytime than one of their weekend sessions.

Its also possible that you could work extra at another time by agreement with your shift supervisor, although I doubt they could commit in advance of being there?
:)

The best thing to do would be to arrive as early as possible on the Wednesday and select a shift team that is not scheduled to work on the Monday.

Thanks guys. I will definitely make it to the early orientation on Wednesday then and get better dibs on choosing shifts.
