I am volunteering at Latitude this year, very excited.... have been there a few times but this is the first time volunteering! As i understand it everyone has to be there on the Wednesday for a briefing, I live locally so do you think it would be ok for me to go home for the wednesday night then come back on the thursday? Any extra night i can have in my own bed is a bonus [:)] . Thanks!

As far as I know once you have been to the briefing and as long as your first shift isn't on the Thursday then I can't see if been a problem with you going back as long as your arrive in time for your first shift.
ahhh great thats what i assumed as well. thanks for your help! all the best
Don't leave it till Thursday to try and pitch your tent though space can be at a premium, and while the lure of your own bed is understandable you will miss the social side. Although if you do not drink and/or live really close it will not be an issue.
Wednesday nights are always a great night. Everyone's arrived and getting settled in, making new friends and meeting up with old ones and generally having a rare old time before the hecticness of the festival and shifts begins. I can understand the lure of a comfy bed but it's all really good fun!
