Heya!

So I finally made up my mind and decided going solo volunteering this year at Latitude. Gotta be honest ... i am pieting myself ... lol .... well, havent got to that point yet but would def be very grateful if i get to meet more volunteers on the way there or before hand and hopefully someone can give me a lift to the site.

I'm coming from London (North London), anyone has any spare seats on their car?. I obviously would contribute with gas and a few laughs, and cake, it goes down very well with beer! :).

Would be cool meeting some people in the same situation or going with friends so we get a bunch of us together pre fest.

And if anyone happen to have any space in their car just give me a shout!!! :)

Alternatively, if there isn't anyone offering lifts from your area but there are a few people going by train, why not meet up at the station and travel together. Gives you a chance to get to know a few people on the way up.

Hey,

If you haven't sorted out a lift yet, I will be traveling up on Tuesday for latitude with another member, barbsy and would happily have some more company, plenty of space. Although I do not live in london, I live in colchester and its a fairly easy train ride, least we could do the last section in to festival site, if that's any good for you?

Take care,

Jody

Hey lovely,

Me and my friend will be on the train. We are getting the train to London Liverpool street and will be getting the from there to Ipswich at 7pm and then from Ipswich to train Halesworth. I know it is late but we are coming from the North west. Like people have said the company for the last leg of the journey would be lovely and I know it is late but hey, it is all part of the fun!

Let me know if you fancy it.

I am sure you could get the train across country via Peterborough/cambridge/stowmarket/Ipswich to save going across London.
See if your ticket allows you to do that. If you haven't got your ticket yet, ask about that as it could be cheaper too, you might have a few waits for connections but better than getting through the underground and London crowds.

from warrington you can to norwich then to lowestoft and halesworth

It is possible to take different routes from the Northwest to Halesworth but it is quicker and cheaper to go via London.
E.g. for comparable tickets (cheaper ones may be available)
via Norwich 7 hours, £104.00,
via London, 5 hours £70.
Book separate tickets for North West - London and London to Halesworth
Get a visitor oyster card for the cross London trip from

From Euston to Liverpool Street take Victoria Line to Kings Cross and then District/Metropolitan/Circle Line to Liverpool Street. This way has no outside walks and there are lift and escalator connection on all platforms. (Euston square is a couple of hundred meters from Euston,is outside and has no lift or escalator.)
This journey will be against the main tide of London commuters at the times you are likely to be travelling
Finally the crew bus is timed to meet London trains.
Regards
Tony (from Preston by train for the third year)

ohhh.... that's a shocker
I live in the area and it is usually cheaper to go cross country than via London from round here.
The fares are more likely the opposite way around!!

I am also coming from the north west, but I decided to go via norwich to hales worth...which came to 80 pounds !(with student rail discount ;) ) I'm just wondering - do we have to be there by 4pm on the Wednesday?
