Hi!! It's my first time volunteering and I'm going it alone! I guess a lot of others will be too - what time are you all planning on arriving?
I've been allocated an arena team shift pattern - there isn't much info about what we will be doing on this shift, has anyone done it before who can shed some light?? Do we have to do non-fun things such as litter picking at the end or is that a job for someone else?
Thanks! Looking forward to meeting you all!

Hello!
I've been a HAT at reading - it's the best!
We had a info point that we manned and otherwise wandered around giving directions and running times mainly! (And asking people not to burn things - that's probably reading specific tho)
The best thing is you're in the arena so you can see and hear some of the acts while you wander :)
Hi picklelilley! Thank you for your reply, there doesn't hardly seem to be any HATS on here everyone is a CAT! And I can't find much info about the arena team role, but if it's the case that you get to roam around then hopefully that means I'll be able to see Noel on the Sunday night during my shift ð???
Have you volunteered at latitude before? I'm going alone and although I'm sooo excited I'm also a bit nervous, feels like the first day of school!
Nope, never even been as a punter!
I'm going solo too - I've volunteered alone before but always had friends who were there (as normal paying people) who I could hang out with. Not so this time so I know the feeling! But there will be lots of us all in crew camping together so it'll be fine (and fun!).
When are you planning of arriving? I'm going Tuesday (even though my first shift is Thursday!)
Ahh good! Looking at the forum it seems like a lot of people are in the same boat, so should be hood fun meeting everyone!
I'm not going till the Wednesday morning as I have to work on Tuesday. My first shift isn't until Friday night so plenty of time to settle in! ð?? x
Hi again! Another quick one.. the arena team shift finishes at 3.30am.. what happens once the last act has finished their set??
I don't remember finishing that late but at the end everyone needs you the most as they are all drunk and lost :D
There are also some late night dj sets so I guess you might be around for those?
You'll find everything out at the briefing don't worry!
Haha, I know it sounds like I'm worrying buy I'm just trying to work out what sort of free time I'll have (any free time after shift etc) and how much booze to bring! ð???
Haha - I see!
Don't you guys get more free time than the rest of us? I can't remember all the shift patterns... When I did it you were both a cat and hat (so not all the shifts were during the music bit of the weekend but that seems to have changed...
Yeah, well we only do 2x 8.5 hour shifts whereas the rest of you do 3, but mine are Friday and Sunday nights so really I only have the Saturday to actually be free! Excited though, glad I get to see the vaccines and catfish :)
