We're running a little behind with CAT deposit returns due to being at another event from Wednesday 20th September ' we're back in the office now and are dealing with all returns this week. Apologies for the delay ' all should be in the post by the end of this week.

Yeah, I'm financially a little stuck right now and the 130-odd quid would make a huge difference.
Any chance of getting refunds sorted out for us lovely (and not so lovely) CATs a little quicker next year? It's not like we're waiting for just £20.

Hi all,
The deposit repayments are coming back as cheques.
We had planned to get them back sooner but the jump from 65 volunteers in 2005 to over 350 in 2006 has slowed us down a little in a few areas this year. This is on the list to address for 2007. Please bear in mind that the Festival CATs are run independently from DC Site Services as a voluntary project. The Festival CATs are run by the promoters/events themselves, merely using the DCSS online systems to aid with administration, and thus do not have a huge budget to employ lots of admin staff.
As mentioned ' addressing the administrative time required for the increasing numbers of volunteers is on the list to sort out for 2007.
We're writing the cheques at the moment ' will be in the post tomorrow/Saturday.

As stated within the FAQ Pages when deposits are refunded they are returned to the payee they were received from ' the owner of the PayPal account or sender of the cheque.
They were posted to the addresses which were confirmed at check-in on-site at either Reading or Leeds.
All should be with you this week.

How come my cheque's only for £130 not the £135 i paid for my deposit?

Liz,
Your deposit was originally paid by using PayPal - As originally stated at the application payment stage and in the FAQ section of this website PayPal charge 3.4% + £0.20 GBP, on each deposit sent, of £135.00 that is £4.79, therefore when returning Festival CAT Volunteer deposits paid via PayPal there is a deduction of £5.00 GBP - Resulting in a cheque for £130.00.
