Hey guys, I'm kind of stumped as to what to bring foodwise etc as this is my first year volunteering. Just wondering if we get access to kettles/microwaves etc since we're \"staff\" or are we lumped in with general campers?

Also anyone know if I can bring a gas stove? It's been forever since I camped since I used to live so close!

At both events you will have access to kettles / hot water. No microwaves though. There is also a crew catering tent where you can get a reasonably priced meal - as mentioned in the information packs (which you can download from PAAM); meal vouchers will be available from the Hotbox Events on-site office.

If you're going to Leeds then gas stoves are permitted, however at Reading gas stoves are prohibited, so it'll need to be BBQs or meths / paraffin or solid fuel stoves. Reading does have the advantage of a 24-hour Tesco being within walking distance though... As well as a number of takeaways!

Hi everyone, in general do you tend to use the food vouchers which get deducted from our deposit or do most people bring/make their own food? Im quite stuck on what to do

Are we allowed in and out of the festival for tesco trips then? and able to bring food and drink from there into the campsite? Think a few tesco trips for some food and drinks sounds a lot easier than bringing it all with me.

You can leave the festival as many times as you want

hey Charlotte, i tend to bring food and cook there myself, but also i buy food on site as some of it is very tasty!!
there is a bus to tesco and yes you are allowed to go there, but best to ask your fellow campers if anyone is doing a \"tesco run\" and hop in the car with them :)

heading on site now, see you on sign in!! :D

quick tip..... the pre cooked rice in packets that you microwave are awesome to heat up on the stove!!!

Another question, what do people generally do with their passports once its been checked to see if you have right to work in the UK. Dont want it getting stolen from my bag or anything ahah

If you're at Leeds they have a safe in the office for passports, guessing its the same for reading but I've only ever worked Leeds so I dunno for sure
