Hi, i'm wondering, do you have to camp in the staff campsite if you are a volunteer CAT staff? After the public have got their of course. I ask because i'm working on my own and would prefer to camp with my friends after they've arrived :-) Thanks

Is it ok if you live in the reading area just to go back home after work?

I can't see why it wouldn't

last year we were sort of behind orange. But there are entances to it from yellow as well. Although that could change this year I suppose... I don't think it is on the map though.

matt1015 posted this 03 May 2010

exactly, imagine a line from about halfway along orange to the arena, we were in there!

I never have been!! the best directions I ever got were the first year \"just head for the big tent, crew camping is somewhere near there\" LOL

I shall be there Tuesday. Although I cheat and stay in a hotel in Reading on the Monday night so its only a 10 min drive from there!
How about you?

matt1015 posted this 03 May 2010

lol I cheat on the cost as well because my brother, who I volunteer with, works for Holiday Inn so it only costs like £25 for the night!
Its only about 100 days away! lol Damn it

matt1015 posted this 03 May 2010

I no!! It didn't seem as far away until I said it :( haha

bags666 posted this 03 May 2010

and same amount of time until my b'day!! I only live 40 mins from reading

matt1015 posted this 04 May 2010

I live in Cambridge so it's about 100 miles give or take so it's a couple hours on the road, but I drive for a living so I cover that distance most days so it's not that bad to be honest.

bags666 posted this 04 May 2010

who do you drive for matt?

matt1015 posted this 04 May 2010

I deliver building materials for a company called ridgeons. I doubt you would of heard of them as they only trade in East Anglia. I quite enjoy the job although not the 7am start!

bags666 posted this 04 May 2010

i used to drive for a living...really enjoyed it...miss it

Yeah I love the freedom of not having the boss breathing down my neck although they have just fitted trackers to all the vans so they no exactly where we are and even down to what gear we are in and how long we keep our foot on the clutch for!!
