Hey everyone, anyone doing both Latitude and Big Chill? Paid my deposit today, so waiting for confirmation of places. I was a CAT at Reading last year but I've never been to either of these festivals... can't wait to get there and meet new people! [:D]

HI Ross, there are quite a few Latitude returners and we are a friendly bunch so you'll be OK. It's a lovely festival. My first time at Big Chill though, so we'll be newbies there together.

I'm debating applying to Latitude and Big Chill as well, then it'd be a clean sweep.

Good to hear Morton! See you there! :D

Well I chose these two this year, as I have access to two houses (long story!). One is in Norwich, so not far from Latitude, and the other is in Dorset, which isn't toooo far from Big Chill. I think you should, A) so you have the clean sweep, and B)...hmm, I'll get back to you!

Latitude and Big Chill are both lovely but quite different. The Big Chill is set in the grounds of Eastnor Castle between Ledbury and Malvern, at the foot of the Malvern Hills and the site itself is quite hilly. The walk up the hill from the arena towards crew camping at the end of your shift can seem very long!

It is quite a long way from anywhere in Dorset.......!!!!

Well I have a skewed perception of what is far after the amount of road travel I've done in my life. Anything under 4 hours drive I don't consider too far away :P
But I'm glad you say they're nice though, I had a pretty good idea of what Latitude was like, used to live near there (I say near, an hours drive :P )so knew loads of people who'd been.

Hello Ross,

I'm going for the hat trick of festivals for the 2nd year in a row (Latitude, Big Chill and Leeds). It'll be my 3rd Latitude, 2nd Big Chill and 6th Leeds (gulp ..... Where have the last 6 years gone :-O).

Latitude and Big Chill are both wonderful festivals in truely beautiful surroundings. Definately worth a visit it you can!

Leeds is quite nice too, particularly last years camping feild, but its just so cluttered up with guests its hard to appreciate the surrounding beauty

@Amy I was hoping to do the hat trick, but can't make Reading. And I know what you mean about the surroundings of Latitude, used to live near by!

Ross, You don't want to Reading anyway. They smell funny down there and all have extra limbs and stuff!!!!

Leeds on the other hand ........................ we RWAK \m/
