Hi,
I have signed to work at both festivals, however my friends are somewhat less adventurous so I am going alone. Any lovely fellow festival workers out there I can camp with? [:)]

There's lots of friendly people who will be doing both. I'll be at Latitude but being a Northern Lass, I'll be off up to Leeds.
There's plenty of people who go it alone so I'm sure you'll make new friends in no time. Best thing to do it find a gathering or campfire, grab a couple of beers and join in.
Enjoy :-)
Of course, we're a really friendly bunch, like Amy said, just introduce yourself, bring a couple of cans over and join in the fun. I'm working Latitude for the 4th year running and Big Chill for the first time. You'll be fine, lots of people are on their own, till they get there.........
In answer to your question. Yes. If you are you will fit right in.
Aww thanks guys :) I'm now really looking forward to it. I posted a similar message on the reading forums and all I got back was 'HAHA.' -Most helpful.
So many thanks again.
Alex, you'll be fine, we (the oldies) will look after you... wah ha ha ha....
How are you getting to Latitude, do you have transport arranged..?
Same story as you I'm at Reading volunteering alone. My friends are going to Reading but like you said were too unadventurous to join me! See you there mate! :) x
best way to make new friends by going on your own!
I'm volunteering by myself at Reading too, the original intention was for a group of us to do it but the rest dropped out. Didn't want to ruin my fun so I'm going it alone, assuming there'll be a few people like me so hopefully won't be an issue!
Hey! Yeah, I'm doing Latitude (my first festival volunteering) by myself as well, I was so scared about the fact that I'd be on my own but after reading this and realising that everyone is so lovely and welcoming I'm not too stressed anymore :) Yay! So looking forward to it ^^
test
Heya sorry for the test post I'd tried posting before and my messages never appeared - I'm also going to Latitude and Reading for the first time and look forward to meeting everyone :)and would love to camp with people too
Tom x
PS am in Delta 1
Hi Tom! Yeah, would be great to camp with nice people instead of turning up not knowing what the hell to do. Just seen that I'm in Delta 1 too! Awesome, guess we'll be working together! Look forward to meeting you :)

Awesome Caitlin do you have an email address? Mine is thw6 [at] live.co.uk. Where abouts are you from? x
EDIT: Removed email address to avoid potential spam.
Sweet, my email is caitlin.p.bart [at] gmail.com :) finally, someone in my shift group! Excitement. I'm from London and based there over the summer, but I go to uni in Brighton so I'm all over the place. You? Looking forward to seeing any bands in particular, or are you just going to go with the festival flow, as it were? X

Caitlin, I've sent you a p.m. I'm driving to Latitude from London on Tuesday at 09.00am.. if you can get to Kings Cross or Euston then maybe I can help you.. for equal share of petrol costs.. have another definate confirmed and a potential/highly likely.. but even so, still room for two more.. I'm gonna be working Charlie 1... and not Delta 1 as I had previously stated.
Have sent you my email address and facebook details.. let me know soonest..
Mark - You're on Charlie 1 with Mike Morris, not Delta 1!
Mark just wants the old school thrill of not knowing what shift he is on till he arrives:-)
Ahh.. well.. ermm... yeah..of course, I knew that.. (ooops..) Charlie, Delta, they're just phonetic labels... I got the '1' right though ehh...?
So, Caitlin, I've still sent the nessage, but my shift pattern is Charlie 1 not Delta 1... so will still be leaving Tuesday morning for 09.00am and will still be returning on Monday morning at some point.
Regular CAT this year Mark? Crikey!
