In the faq in the what to bring section it says...
â?¢ Lager/ cider ' bring cans as these can be recycled at the recycling points and you can then get more for free!

I've been looking at the Download forums today, and I gathered you can bring your own beer, but you're not allowed it in the Arena.
ah kk then, I'm not a mad alcoholic or anything I was just surprised that the faq actually tells you to bring booze [:D]
That FAQ entry was written for the Carling Weekend: Reading & Leeds Festival ticket holders, we thought it may be a handy point of reference for the staff too, that's why it's there and why it recommends you bring alcohol. Never a bad idea, but please don't go OTT ' last thing you need is for items to be confiscated as you arrive, or to be thrown offsite for being drunk whilst on-shift, or for making a nuisance of yourself whilst off-shift.
Please note many events (such as Glastonbury) don't allow glass bottles anywhere on-site, banned in public & staff areas.
Jager... right that's going on my shopping list! I'll put it in a plastic bottle though just to be safe [:)] Love that stuff!
At download last year, they dont care if you take in alcohol, as long it is not cans or glass.
I poured bout 5 cans of beer into a large bottle 2l bottle, no problems taking it into the arena.
those going to reading, buy the cheapest case of tesco beer or whatever and trade it in for a cold case of carling.
couldnt find that place last year
At Rockwerchter last year I hid whisky minatures in my pants... not doing that again in a hurry...

insiders tip, if your working at leeds or reading you can go up to any of the bar's in the areana and blag some free beers, just flash your wrist band luck sad and say you'v just finished a 10hr shift, works most of the time, and anyway we are free advertising for carling as its all over our uniform so we deserve it.
well i dont know if it will work basically just Blag !!!
